There is definitely not an elaborate system of ropes and pulleys all around the outside of Ezio's house poised to sprinkle confetti over every room the second the mechanism is triggered. Enjoy your morning, Ezio, because the second you pick up your coffee it's party time.

When Connor wakes up that morning, he's going to find his bedroom is covered in posters. Not actual posters. But hundreds and hundreds of pictures of Haytham's face. If he opens his wardrobe, he'll find they're on the inside as well the outside of the doors. There are pictures inside his drawers, tucked into the frame of the mirror, even one under the toilet seat in his bathroom. There's one carefully slotted into his wallet, as a thoughtful touch.

If the boys come to the Bureau today they'll notice the lattice is locked up tight and no one appears to be home. A note is attached to the lattice stating the following.

He doesn't actually really believe the note. There isn't anything - as far as he knows, including the loss of an arm - that can make Malik give up being an assassin.

But he had been surprised before.

Which was why he was, very calmly, running across the rooftops, both to avoid the busy crowd below and to give himself a better view. When he finally catches that familiar streak of red, white and blue, he'll drop down next to the stall Malik is currently pursuing.]
